New insights into the high-redshift circum-galactic medium from gravitational-arc tomography
1 : Universidad de Chile
I will report on MUSE observations of bright gravitational arcs, that we designed to map the spatial distribution of the absorbing intervening CGM at z~1. In this talk I will discuss our first tomographic views of individual high-z galaxy halos. I will argue that this technique can offer simulations new and independent boundary conditions to constrain the interplay between galaxies and their CGM.
